Patchwork Quilt

No, this is not really a quilt, but it is my offering instead of a beautifully crafted quilt or afghan you might receive from another grandmother.

Great grandmother Lois Sprinkle Kramar came to visit our home in Lima, Peru, arriving on February 14, 1966.  Her namesake, Lois Janette, was ten years old.  Together they made an authentic patchwork quilt, which still exists, after serving two generations.

Most quilts are composed of pieces put together in a planned design, but a patchwork quilt is a hodgepodge of shapes and sizes.  I work with words, not fabrics, but I believe the title is fitting, because I tend to write in a mixture of subjects, lengths and styles.
